I have a cub, and this summer I was curious how hot the water got, so I stucka thermometer in the top of the radiator. Warmed right upto 200+,but the outlet back to the engine was still fairly cool. I think it takes a fairly big temperature differential to make the thermosyphon system work, And as long as the cooland isn,t boiling, the hotter an engine runs, the better it runs.

Measured 165 degrees in the C-123 (Farmall B, 3 1/8" pistons, with stock radiator) on a hot Texas day in July this year. You may run cooler if you've got the Super A-1 with the larger radiator.

easy to figure that you have a nice clean block and radiator also have the fan belt right this is what they will run if things are in good shape if they run 175 or more you have usually a block that is plugged with rust have found this out over the years with many a B and A when you tear them down and replace the sleeves its amazing the junk found in the block
