I have 5 I-H tractors and I Powder Coat everything, wheels, Rims, engine parts and sheet metel. I like it and it looks great. I haven't noticed any fading at all.

I would highly reccommend that you NOT use powder coat paint on anything other than selected engine parts. I used it on the manifold and carburator of my super A 4 years ago and it still looks GREAT. I used a color that resembled the natural color of new cast iron. At a show this past weekend, I had someone remark that I had a NEW manifold. He couldn't believe it was 52 years old. Use a good industrial enamel on the cast and sheet metal. If you store the tractor in a shed or cover it, you will not suffer UV ray deterioration of your paint. I prefer Sterling Paints (Little Rock Arkansas company). They have a stock color called Safety/IH red that is a perfect match to the original DuPont red. Good Luck. PS - make sure to thoroughly sand blast any part you want to powder coat. I used clear powder coat on my carb and the brass fittings are still yellow 4 years later.

Alabama IH, so why don't you recommend painting the entire tractor powder coat?
