I have used JB Weld to seal up leaks in blocks, gas tanks, and you name it. It comes in 2 tubes. Just mix equal parts of the hardner and sealer together and then smear over the area where it leaks. Let it sit for a day or two to harden up before applying paint or oil.

Use a degreaser such as Castro Super clean or the cheaper stuff that Auto Zone, etc has. Spray it on, let it set for a few minutes and then hose off. It'll help to use a stiff brush, and/or a pressure washer. Then use a good red primer before you top coat.
