Some time ago, my 1940 H started running poorly, then quit, and she would not start up again. Acted like a fuel problem, but there was plenty of gas, and the float bowl overflow runs gas when I open it up. The other day, I finally got into it, and it seemed the coil had no spark. So, new coil, but she still won't fire up (I have not been able to check and see if the new coil is generating a spark yet). I have checked to make sure the "Run/Stop" switch is out in the "Run" position. The system is still 6 volt, non-magneto. What would you fellas suggest I check? Is there a fuse in the circuit somewhere? I will check the "Run/Stop" switch tonight to see if it is working, and try to see if the coil is sparking - which, by the way, I do by simply pulling the coil cap off leaving just enough gap to look for a spark. Thanks!

Bill if I understand you, you have an ignition coil settup? Have you checked the point gap at .020? If you have any wabble in the rotor shaft, set them at .018.
