I attended an old time tractor pull and noticed a lot of Cockshut, and Coop And MM, I figure it is about time I present the IH to the line up. Is there any web sites, books, or people to talk to about this for tips and tales? Any response would be appreciated! Thanks!

You will probably show well with the H. I did some antique pulls for the first time with a 1946 M in 98, did fairly well and had a lot of fun and the H and M's all did well in their classes, though you could tell some tractors were a little turned up in both revs and H.P. A very good site with a fourm to ask questions and get some good information is at

good luck and have fun

I don't know where to find pulling info but the best thing to do is watch and talk to other pullers. The SMTA or super M are real good antique pullers. Hooking to the track is probably the most important thing in antique pulling. You can adjust the governor for afew more hp and rpm and that should be all a good running tractor needs to be able to compete ina antique pull. You need to learn where to weight the tractor and how to work the throttle to keep from spinning out.
