I believe you can replace the clutch from the top with the engine in place.
On 10-20s you have to remove the belt pulley carrier and clutch coupling, then the clutch assembly. Don't know why 15-30 or 22-36 models would be different. Second opinions?

I agree with Dick, I replaced the clutch on my 10-20 by removing the half round cover, the belt pully gear case, the coupler, the throw out fork and shaft, and then the pressure plate. I went ahead and took off my tanks as I needed to any way so I am not sure if you will have to remove them to get the clutch out. There are two different types of clutch discs used so all I can say is I hope you have the single disc style used on 1929 and newer. on my 10-20 the single disc clutch is the same as was used on an F-20 so replacement was fairly easy to find since not much of my clutch was rebuildable( I was only able to save the throw out shaft and the throw out bearing bronze housing) I would guess that an f-30 disc is the same one used on a 15-30 if it is a single disc clutch. If you have the multiple disc style be very carefull with the steel plates!!!and don't bend them!!!!
