Is there a difference between a "M High crop", and an "MV"? Mine does not have the "V" on the serial number tag only the FBK, but it came from IH under a cotton picker, has the chain final drive, and is a foot or so taller than a standard M. Any ideas? Thanks

You've got a cotton picker tractor, which is different from either a M or an MV. Does yours have the flanges on the axle housings with the bolts?

I'm really not sure I understand what you mean about axle flanges. I looked at my IT Service manual and where they show a slightly curved upper bearing cap(upper, outside bearing) mine has a cap that looks like the bullit on a 57 Chevy front bumper, minus the crome of course. Other than that, they look the same. From what I can tell, the wheel clamps look the same as on any other M, or H. It does have the single wheel in front. The guy I got it from told me it came from under a cotton picker. Is this old bird rare? Thanks for your help Mr Fay!!
