I am just about to purchase a few acres and have an F12. are there any other types of mowers other
than the siclebar that can be used with this tractor? are belly mount mowers available?

I'm not aware of anything from the period other than sicklebars, but don't let that stop you. The F12 has a 540 RPM PTO just like later tractors, and the frame is very versatile as far as mounting things. I can't imagine it being a huge problem to adapt a Woods belly mower from, say, an "A" to an F12. Also, a tow-behind finish mower would be an option. I'd be interested in seeing the results of such a project. I'm adapting an AC #3 sicklebar to run behind my F14.

Check out mounts for a C rather than an A.
