I have a Super A with fast hitch, and I just purchased a 2 bottom plow for it. Problem is, the hitch is at an angle, meaning the front is lower than the rear where it attaches to the plow itself. When I hook it up to the tractor, I have to actually raise the hydraulics to couple up to it, and then the points do not come nowhere near the ground when I lower it. When you look at it from the side after it is hooked up and in the lowered postion, it looks like the plow is running uphill. I think the only cure is to have someone take a cutting torch to the hitch, then reweld it at a proper angle. Does this seem reasonable? Has this happened to anyone or am I singled out? Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds to me as though the front of your hitch may pined up to the stationary position under the platform. Do you have a manual? You may have something missing if the aforementioned is as I stated. For plowing your hitch has round bar 1 inch in diameter aprox. 3 feet long. This bar runs from front end of hitch to hydraulic rockshaft on right of fuel tank. This bar is also adjustable as well as the adjustment you aquire with hydraulics. That controls the depth of your plow. The manual will show you if you have anything missing and if so what it looks like.

No, it doesn't seem reasonable. Unless something has been severely bent, it should be able to work.

The front of your Fast-Hitch is controlled by one of the Touch-Control arms, isn't it? With the second bottom on the ground and the front of the hitch lowered all the way, how far off the ground is the point of the first bottom.

I have the two bottom plow with a one point hitch on my Super A. The front of the plow can be lowered by moving the touch control lever that would normally work the front cultivators. The entire plow can be lowered using the crank arm and the different pin holes on the lift rods. At least, this is how mine works. I can set the plow at any depth I need. Sounds like something has been altered on either your hitch or the plow. Let us know what you find out.

Sorry, I don't have a scanner. Any other way I can help, let me know. If the one-point hitch is like mine, it has a curved lift arm that is attached to the one point hitch and passes underneath the seat platform that goes to the touch-control rockshaft. By raising or lowering the touch control lever for the front and back, you can control depth and draft of the plow.
