Here are the captions, as promised.

1967 1206 purchased in 1996 at Beattie,Kansas in the condition you see shown with a 5x16 IH plow on it.It had never been to the field yet with the new paint. After (4) years of farming it doesnt look this nice now,It was a 8000 hour one family tractor when I purchased it.

1966 1206 purchased in Dec 1995 at Marshfield,MO with new paint. This picture was taken Aug 2000 after a 37 mile road trip one way to pull home a 21ft Krause disk and #55 14ft IH chisel purchasedd on a farm sale.I got screwd a little on this tractor.More later.

Both 1206's fall of 1998.1967 on 21ft 470 IH disk and 1966 on 510 IH 21x7 drill.Ready to drill 113 acres of wheat.

1978 715 IH diesel hydro,RWA,15ft 810 purchased Nov 1995 from JD dealer at Carthage,MO.Shown cutting 110 acres of wheat for a neighbor in June 1996.I still own it and use it some.Cut 80 acres with it this year.

1981 1420 IH front and back view purchased Nov 2000 at Clinton,MO JD dealer.Shown shelling 133bpa corn in Aug 2001.A great little combine.I cut about 330 acres with it this year with no problems.

Me on my 1938 W-40 pulling at Carterville,MO in 1980.Only lost one pull with it in two years.Neighbor boy restored it for me in Vo-Ag shop in 78-79.Its in Milan,KS now.I really miss it.

My fiance and wife now (Debbie) driving the W-40 down the driveway in May of 1980.We were married June 7,1980.

My 1938 UDLX MM Comfortractor purchased in April 1983 at Alvarado,MN.One of 75 left of 150 built.Only an idiot would have sold this rare tractor but I did!!Its in Bothell,WA now and is ground up restored.

Me and my brothers 1967 D-21 AC that we were going to build into a puller but never did. What a horse of a tractor. We pulled it several times and sold it in 1986.I could have bought it back for $3500 (5) years ago with my old 6x16 AC plow and 16ft AC chisel. The owner had died and it sat for (3) years.I cant believe I let it get away for that!It needed some work.

1926 30-60 S Oil Pull purchased in April 1976 at Meade,NE in running condition. We had it to several steam engine shows belted up to a sperator. Its now in Quinter,KS.A great old tractor.

Brent Longs (Aldrich,MO) screamin little 686 IH light SS at Macon,MO Sept 2001.400 cubes,(1) huge turbo on alky,DOHC aluminum head at 7500-8000 rpms.Deffinitely the tractor to beat anywhere it goes.It makes your hair stand up hearing that little IH scream!Brent is the premier alky engine builder in the world. His Dad Joe used to pull a 656 IH diesel in the 70's.

Me late July standing in my corn(Pioneer) field that made 140bpa.The 1420 had all it wanted at 5mph.

Cokerham Brothers from LaClede,MO on their screamin nice looking G-1000 MM light SS alky burner at Macon,MO in mid 90's.They actually beat Brent Longs 686 there that year and its pictured beside them. This was the last year the G-1000 was pulled as I heard they got tired of picking cranks off the track. These were tough hard running tractors anywhere they went.

1966 806 IH 15,000 lb puller owned by a friend Roy Gene Claypool of Richards,MO.Its shown at Rich Hill,MO in 1969.No turbo but notice the black smoke and the LP bottle. He knew where the fuel screw was!!He bought this tractor new and still owns it.

My restored 1918 10-20 Mogul purchased as a basket case in 1978 at Wheaton,MO.It looked alot better one year later.Went to Ekalaka,Mont in 1988.I will tell the rest of the story another time.

Last but not least me and my Dads 1966 Oliver 1950 shown with me at the wheel making a full pull to win the 15,000 class at the Ozark Empire fair pull in Aug 1970.We drove it (100) miles down there the day before and drove it back home the eve of the pull.I can still remember the whole town of Walnut Grove,MO standing in their yards about 6pm of an eve wondering what was making all the noise. You could easily hear that little 4-53 Detroit for 10-12 miles especially after dark.It cranked 3300 rpms and had bigger injectors.we never hauled it anywhere.Part of the fun of owning it was driving it to the pulls with the straight pipe on.It could beat alot of higher horse tractors.

blain, you said you bought one 1206 from marshfield? may i ask who it was? i live in marshfield and grew up on the seat of a few olivers and a ih 1206 we sold it about 10 years ago to some guy here in town, i was just woundering if maybe that could have been my old tractor. dont remember much about it except it was the only 1206 around our nieghbor hood. what part of missourah are you from? 35 miles i belive you said is how far you had to come down here so that would be around....uhh....halfway...no maybe between halfway and warsaw or are you farther north.....bu then you said you drove the 1950 100 miles down here to springfield so that would put you about clinton right or a little farther north...oh well i guess i will know whent you tell me wont i?

i pull a 1456 and 966 against him at the fair here every year tough tractor to win against, or used to be....my 966 has a 1466 inj. pump so its putting out a few horses. my 1456 was last dynoed 3 years ago and it was putting out almost 180 hp. all of our tractors have straight pipes and sound real good. i was just woundering if maybe that was our old 1206 but i doubt it...nice talking with you and happy holidays!

Great pic of the W-40. I think the W-40 and the WD-40 are great tractors. A friend of mine has a 1940 Wd-40, and there is a W-40 with another collector here in West Wales UK.
