Does anyone have any info on a International harvestor model T3400D - A with a 3214 backhoe on it or any web sites I can use to:
find out how to use it.
find out how much it is worth (it is a 1972)
find out where to get parts
find out what oils and fluids ands greases to use

etc.

Thanks,
Bill

Bill i don't know much about them but if they are anything even close to a 3414 then all i can tell you is run as fast and far as you can my buddy and i had a 3414 once and could not get rid of it fast enough and it was only two years old when we had itwe bought a 580 Case CK to replace it with and it was twice the hoe and had no problemes to speak of with it and we worked it real hard . I like IH farm equipment but never cared much for there industrial line guess i am not alone on that one.

Thanks for the comment. I bought it cheap but have no history of how the reliability is on this design. All I can say is, I fired it up and ran it hard (pulling stumps) for 4 hours and it worked hard a flawlessly. Perhaps it is like cars. Even though Lexus if # 1 by a huge margin over all other makes, you could still find one person who got a "lemon" and tells everybody they are junk. I have only heard from you and 2 other people on this machine. the other 2 think they are fine. I hope others will tell me more but I am on 2 message boards several times and can't get very many replies. Guess a 1972 is hard to get info on.
The guy who sell backhoes (not mine), tells me that an Industrial IH is far better than a Case or other models of that era. Perhaps it is because it is a bachoe and not just a flimsy tractor with a backhoe attachment bolted on (has a huge frame and I-beam fr axle).
Thanks.
Bill

Like i said i don't know about that one but the 3414 was supose to be the best thing that was ever made and they did not fly in this area neither did the IH dozer line and i did work for a large construction co. and we had Cats And allis's and IH 's and Euclids. Deere had not come out with anything that we could use back then and the IH and the Allis were alway broke down along side of the Euclids Ford had just come out with the Ind style hoe along with IH and the ford would out dig it, i just never liked the noise that ford's diesel made it always sounded like it was going to come apart.
