MY DAD FOUND A FARMALL A TODAY. IT WAS SITTING BEHIND A TIRE STORE. THE TRACTOR HAS GOOD TIRES
AND IS PRETTY STRAIGHT. DOES NOT NEED PAINT. THE
ONLY PROBLEM, DOWN HERE IN SOUTH MOST A,100,130
AND 140's HAVE HAD BLOCKS REPAIRED. THIS ONE ALSO HAS BEEN PATCHED BEHIND CARB. IT COME WITH 1 DISC TURN PLOW ONLY. ASKING $750.00 IS IT
WORTH IT? THANKS!!!!!

Briar: We have bought some with patched blocks and got by ok! Some we went back and Water Glassed had never had a leak again! any way you go its a patched block so it will never bring top dollar. Hope this Helps Dann

You are right about the block repair. I live in Mississippi and I have seen many of the blocks on these engines cracked. What usually happens, if it is busted on the outside, everyone I have seen has also been cracked along the pushrod and water jacket holes underneath the head. This makes it difficult to repair. The crack on the outside is one thing, but you may want to take the head off and take a look before you buy. Usually after the repair, you still end with water in the oil.
