I'm looking at buying a 560 gas w/ two row mounted cultivators. I need it to cultivate tobacco with. It has no 3 pt. hitch or fast hitch which I would like to have to use for other things. It's priced right. Can you put an after mkt. 3pt. hitch on this tractor? What would it cost and where is the best place to get one?

Thanks,
brian

I curently have a 2 point fast hitch with three point conversion, it works ok, but if you have no hitch at all on your 560, go out on the web and look up worksaver, they a very good bolt on three point system, that I will must likely goto one of these days, much better setup for a working tractor, My 2 cents 560 Ralph in Mid MO

You can buy a fast hitch that will bolt right on and then use three point converters. That will give you the flexibility to use either fast hitch or three point implements. A used fast hitch should cost about $300-$350 and the converter arms might be available at the same time for another $100 or less in a package deal. That's a lot less than you will pay for an after market three point set up and it will do everything the after market will do and more.

I have a 560 and love the fast hitch. I have purchased the 3 pt adapters and they are not as slick as one might think.

First, there are two styles of these adapters. One set comes straight out and the other set angle up. The set I purchased come straight out and end up mounting the implements too low. On some of my implements I was able to lower the mounting pins to accommodate but not all.

Second, since the width of your arms are fixed, you have to be careful when buying older 3pt implements. Some are too wide or too narrow to work. This also can make hooking up implements tricky, but not impossible.

Third, the top link on these adapters is somewhat suspect. Never seems to work quite right with a back blade and most of the times requires a really short top link.

Well, that's been my experiences, thus, I try to only use fast hitch implements!
