Does anyone know of a source for the light lens for the 6v lights rather than replacing the entire light with a sealed beam? Also, is there anything special needed to replace the original type with the sealed beam style (mounting or hooking up)?

Thanks

I know of a couple of places where you might get the lens. For a new one it's going to be about $20.00----25.00 for the orginal one. I lucked out the othe day in wrecking yard,I found the lights and light bar for $15.00.
I live in East Texas,if you want the addresses just e-mail me.

I found other parts for those lights at my IH dealer. Or try another brand. The lights were all the same.

I don't know of a lens source, but I've looked into putting 6v sealed beams in. What I planned to do was leave the empty housing on the tractor, find the closest-fitting-but-smaller bulb by looking at the dimensions of the bulbs (a Grainger catalog is indispensible for this) and then shimming the bulb in the housing with dense foam or a hand-cut rubber or cork gasket. I think you could make it look very nice and stock to the untrained eye, and obviously get much brigher or more effective lighting.

You can save the old parts for a future return to the stock configuration.
