Two 6V golf cart batteries in series are far far better than any four 12V "deep cycle" RV or marine batteries in parallel.

Golf cart batteries have much heavier lead plates in them, and can take the abuse. RV batteries have perforated plates.

I went with a Starting/deep cycle combo marine battery. Deep cycle batteries are not good for high current output. I have a little 2000 lb winch that will draw up to 90 amps at near stall. Too much output curreent for many deep cycle batteries.

A friend grabbed my deep cycle 125 ah trolling motor battery to jump start his truck with. That was it for that battery. sigh, was pretty new too...

Marine deep cycle cranking/trolling motor battery. The best you can afford. Hard to beat interstate
