I've been doing a little research as I prepare to start restoring my '48 cub.I have looked at alot of photos of original and restored cubs and noticed that none have the glass jar precleaner like the H's and M's.I want to be as original as possible.Should I take mine off and get a regular cap?

The glass jar precleaner was an option, just as it was on the As, Bs, Cs, Hs, and Ms. If yours has it, keep it. The glass jar precleaner is very desirable and sought after. If you decide you don't want it, you could get as much as $200 for it.
