My humble opinion is that you need to check the condition of the fuel lines, tank, etc., before you try this, as good BLEEDING depends on good fuel flow as directly as good BREEDING depends on good cash flow.Quoting directly from the IT IH-8 Manual: "(Paragraph) 124: BLEEDING. The fuels system should be purged of air whenver the fuel filters have been removed or when the fuel lines have been disconnected. To bleed the system, first make certain that fuel level in the tank is above the auxuliary fuel filter, open the fuel tank shut-off valve and proceed as follows: Open the water trap vent (1- Fig. IH352)(NB: References below - A.) and the auxiliary fuel filter vent cock (2); close th events when the fuel flows free of air. Start the engine and run on the gasoline cycle. Open the final fuel filter vent cock (3); close the vent when fuel flows free of air. Advance the engine speed control lever slightly but do not touch the compression release lever. Open each nozzle vent (4) individually; close the vent when the fuel flows free of air." Diagram Fig. IH352 shows (1) as being located on top of the sediment bulb, (2) as being on top of the canister on the sediment bulb side of the line, (3) as being on top of the cannsiter on the pump side of the line, and (4) as being, of course, on the injectors (IT calls them "injection nozzles").
