Anyone else run across this low-rider M on Ebay? 26" rear tires and 12" fronts with a custom built WFE? Ad says they had a mower on it but doesn't say why the created the thing in the first place. Odd but interesting at the same time.

I've never cared for modified tractors, but I think they did a pretty nice job on this one. It looks like the front end off a Massey Harris????? Thanks for the pic. Andy.

Those small rear tires would effectivly reduce the ground speed in ALL gears, UNLESS they also swapped in the ring gear and pinion from a W6. As it is, that M would be the slowest tractor on the road in a tractor ride.

I like it! Why would anybody want to restore it to a straight M? That wouldnt get anybody talking at the shows or parades or wherever.
The entire crafstmanship looks very professional from what I am seeing, but you can never really tell from pics. It gets my vote!

The front axle looks like it might be the rear axle off of a combine

It reminds me of the '46 H I sold to my BIL because it was going to cost me too much in parts.

Looks like they lowered it on purpose so they could fit an underbelly mower on it.Not a bad idea, but they could have chosen a tractor more suited for the task.If someone was interested in the tractor,it doesn't appear as if they modified it so much that it couldn't be put back to original.

Here is a picture. Looks like the just cut the centers out of the stamped rims and bolted them to some cast centers on the M. Probably not the strongest setup.

Not saying it isn't real but note that it appears to have dropped from the sky (no track marks on the ground and little detail on back rim)...

If you actually click the Ebay link you can go see all 10 or 15 pictures they posted in their ad. If they faked 15 pictures they have more time on their hands than I do, that's for sure....

Here is one image of the rim in their ad, there is another that shows the inside view where you can tell it is a standard stamped steel rim that they cut the center out of.

I guess when the ground is dry and hard and you have huge fat tires they may not leave a mark.

It's real. Notice that the ONLY marks on the ground are bulldozer tracks, even though there are several other vehicles in the background? That is some dry, hard ground.

It looks a lot better than I expected, when I read your post. Maybe it was rigged up as a puller.

Seems to me that what they ended up with is pretty much the same as a W6
