Hi I am looking for a fuel cap for a 130- 140 It has a fuel level guage made into it. It uses a sliding cork and has the guage made into the top of it. The IH part # is 365482-R92. I know these are pretty hard to come by and I am willing to pay top price for a good working one. Please e-mail me direct or reply to the forumn.
Thanks
Cris

Those cork floats had a nasty habit of coming apart as they aged and plugiug the gas outlet in the bottom of the tank than floating out of the way only to come back and plug the outlet again. It was a real pain to get all the cork pieces out of the tank. Best to upgrade to that new cap that I.H. is giving away. Armand Ps Iam upgrading my 4 "M's". That new cap prevents gas from boiling.

Thanks For the Memories! in reply to Cris, 04-23-2007 14:35:13
I'd forgotten about these, but now that you mention them, I can see one clear as day in my mind's eye!

I cannot for the life of me, though, recall whose tractor it was on.

Isn't the human memory an odd thing?

If you cannot find one, you can get a real nice triple baffle gas cap for free at www.ihgascap.com You do not have to pay any shipping or anything. I've gotten them there before. You need to order one before the end of May or you can buy one there for over $30.00. Just thought I'd tell you about this program. Andy.
