I have a 560, when you hold it at wide open for more then 10 or 15 seconds the whole electrical systems shuts off. Gauges drop down everything just like you shut the key off, if you idle it down quick it will pickup and start running again if not it will shut off. Only happens at wide open , no problems at lower rpms. Thank you

Unfamiliar with, but points may be too wide gap.

How about a condenser going bad that works normally up till high speed---then cuts out by shorting, & kills the electrical system? Never heard of this before, but lots of things happen that we've never heard of. Thinking also about the solenoid shutoff on the carb--- if that might be tied into the equation. W e had the wire loom wear through once where it goes under the gas tank heat shield, & it shorted the #9 wire which goes from the generator back to the regulator, which caused intermittent electrical happenings for quite a while until we did some serious looking. Gas delivery shouldn't be causing problems, so we could rule that out for the time being. Do some wiring checks for now.

Thinking maybe the problem is in a wire which is loose near the radiator fan? When the air volume at high RPM's might cause the wire to loose contact? Just guessing about the air flow, but has to be something connected with higher RPM's. Hang in there, someone will hit the fix---just like the suggestion of the bare wire.

Fix the bare wire that has rubbed on the throttle linkage or the bad ignition switch.

What is the ammeter reading when all of this is going on? Gas or Diesel? Generator or alternator? Battery condition? Does it start normally--Cranks well?

It is a gas with a generator. Everything else performers regularly, charges on the positve side, till it cuts out then the gauge drops all the way like shut the key off. New battery starts right up every time. New coil and resistor everything has just been gone through, pulled for couple months with no problems, then just started cutting out.
