I ran across a Super H today at a yard sale. The tractor looks rough and I could not get it to turn over. I offered 200.00 for it but he seems to think he got a high dollar tractor that he said he worked on 5 years ago and could not get it to run. My question is what do you guys think it worth??

A/C Boy, would really appreciate knowing the serial number of this super H if possible.Been trying to find a consecutive number for some years now, also been keeping a list of all the numbers I can get that are still in existance.
Thanks, Pat in Wis

Here is a link to an earlier discussion on the value/worth of a regular H, figure a 10% to 25% premium for a Super H Stage II (at least that's my opinion)...

What's an H worth?

I will cut Hugh's price a little, and say $500 if it is not stuck. Running condition, in the condition you describe, $800-$1200. IF it is a Stage 2, those are worth some money restored, the yard tractor maybe $1000-$1500 not stuck. A stage 2 has a hyd pump in front of the distributer, hyd reservoir under the gas tank and battery under the seat. Stage 1 has the battery under the left side of the gas tank. If either is stuck, unless you like to do such things, find another tractor.

CNKS: I was just looking at the fact new sheet metal is probably worth close to $600.

A/C boy: Don't ask questions, all non running tractors are parts tractors. $1,000. with good sheet metal, $400. with poor sheet metal.

If he couldn't get to run 5 years ago, who knows what he might have done to it. I brought one home 4 years ago $1,000. with good sheet metal. Another $1,500. later I had it running like new. Most of that $1,500. spent on items the seller screwed up, trying to get it running 10 years ago.

A/C How did you try to turn it over? Starter? Crank? Take out the spark plugs,(examine them closely while you got'em out), then if it has a crank, try to turn it over....if it does rotate, then she's probably worth more than $200.00. Last one I bought, paid $350.00 for it and it was frozen !! That's been awhile, though and they are going for more money now!
Good luck ! Jim B.

I PAID 950. about 6 years ago but it did turn over. I would say it should bring about 600 if stuck.
