H hydraulic plumbing

My H has one outlet on the right side, and two on the left. I haven't worked on H hydraulics before. Are these all one way ports? Is there any way to plumb it so I have a two way valve?

Any help would be appreciated.

All three are ouput. I believe one of the two on the left delays getting pressure a second or two from the others. Cultivators on an H are in three sections, one one each side (which raise first) and one in back (which automatically raises a second later so you finish the row).

IH had a fitting you put in line for the delay.

Tom, I think the delay is only due to the length of pipe from the manifold on the liftall (its really called that!). All three pipes get the same pressure at the same time.

Upon closer reading of the owner's manual I think we're both right "Lift-All can be supplied in three ways: regular lift for raising the entire machine in one operation; delayed lift which controls the rear section independently of the front; and selective lift which raises either side independently when working in 'point' rows". I can't tell from the manual if all tractors have the same basic valve and outlets and the delay is introduced elsewhere, or if the delay valve replaces the standard one?

Brent all 3 ports are output. You can remove the filler cap and make up a "tree branch" for the return lines. That is how my H at the farm was configured for the New Idea front end loader.

Basically you need a slip joint (forget terminology), a 6 inch vertical 1/2 inch pipe, a T, a 6 and 12 inch pipe horizontally, and a couple of elbows as an example.

You should return the oil in the drain plug hole in the bottom of the pump. You can build a stand and mount the two way valve on the axle housing.

Thanks! I'm assuming all three ports function at the same time when you pull the hydro lever? I would need to put a valve in somewhere on each line if I only wanted output from one at a time? Or would I be better off having a multi selector valve with just one port plumbed a the inlet, and multiple outlets to the implements?

Brent, I am not the expert on this but a couple of folks on the Farmall board have the live hydraulics on later Hs and Super Hs. It sounds like you should go this route. Sorry I cannot be of further help. Bummer. :(
