A question for those in the "know". I ordered new pistons and sleeves for my SM 264cid, the new sleeves are 4 1/8th" as compared to the stock bore of 4". After pulling the head this question dawned on me, must I overbore the block to use the new sleeves? I just couldn't imaging having a sleeve that would half to be pretty thin going into the stock block bore, or am I wrong?

Just an add on, I measured them the other day, and it already has 4 1/8th sleeves/slugs, so that answers that..

Those sleeves will fit your block the way it is.It may be cheaper for you to take the block to someone who works on them and them put the sleeves in for you.You wont get as big of a headache either!

Thats what I would do, but my orignall plan is not to remove the engine, but now Im re-thinking this as of last night, also a friend told me about an industrial tool rental place that he is pretty sure rents one and its a hydraulic unit, so even if I remove the engine, I still might just do it myself if that info pans out come Tuesday. Im not always trustfull of Machine/Engine shops doing things the proper way and damaging engines, as I have seen many times, I know that might sound silly but it just one of those things, if I can do it myself, I will ;0), Thx Red..

Thanks Red, I wasn't sure, as some Auto engines I have sleeved had to be puched out naturally, this is my first Tractor engine I have personally worked on.
