Excellent Brian. If you get a sleeve that is stubborn, like I had on number 3, tighten the puller to about 150 foot pounds, get a pipe that will go around the bottom nut, and start pounding. Do like 20 pounds and then re-tighten. HOPEFULLY your 4 sleeves come out easily. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip Red, I have everything apart and ran out of time tonight, Im using an MTA manual, and I think there is a slight difference in removing the engine for a SM non TA, seems there are 2 bolts, one behind the starter and one across and below the Hydraulic belly pump. Figures, as thats where im supporting the tractor right now ;0( Anyhow I tap away at Sunday night. BTW I think I told you I was just going to do an "in tractor" rebuild, well I changed my mind, after seeing all that built up "gunk" in the engine, and knowing Ill never get the tractor stripped and cleaned the way I want to for painting, I decided to take the whole shabang apart and do it right. It would bother me to no end if I didn't ;0) But I do plan on having it ready by the end of this month, no puzing around, as I have a nice old GTX that is next on my list ;0) Thx again for the help, and like I said, I might be shooting some paint questions at you if/when they come up..After seeing your tractor and another Gent by the name of Milan in my area and the fine jobs that where done, I thought why the heck am I doing this half a**? Gotta do it right..
Brian

My paint job ain't that great close up. I would hit Milan with questions or Thelma who frequents the tales board. She and her companion did a super duper paint job on a F14 rebuild. Paul Fox has pixs on his site of her F14 rebuild.

Thx again Red. I am having a paint shop my brother runs do the sheet metal, as I am terrible when it comes to fine detailing with paint, I can wrench like crazy, but if my life depended on painting, Im in trouble ;0) So I'll stick to the rough casting work..
