I adjusted the movable brush on generator for minimum charge rate but it still charges at about 16 amps at low switch setting and about 20 amps at high charge setting. The manual says the generator should be adjusted for a max. charge rate of 9 to 11 amps (hot) and 13 to 16 (cold) with switch in high charge position. Should I be concerned? If this is not good, how can I reduce charge rate further?
Also, are replacements available for the filter screen in the gas strainer bowl?

Ken Updike has the fuel strainer screens and gaskets. 608-455-2411.

I have a 12 volt that is charging also at that rate. Just keep your eye on the water in the battery. It will slowly evaporate at that charging rate.
