My friend has a Farmall MD (who stars on gasolin)
from 1944(he says).Because the engine needs an overhaul,he likes to know if he can reform him to a Super MD at the same time.Anyone who can tell us if this is possible snd how to do it?We are living in Brazil,so we don't have not to many parts (aftermarket)available! Thanks for your comments,
Harry Oomen and Albert Remijn.

If you are interested in strictly increasing the hp, yes, you can do that. The Super MD had a 4 in. dia. piston, the origional MD had a 3 7/8 in piston. You can replace the sleeves and piston and get the 4 in. bore. However many of the old MD's had this done in a rebuild. Check, maybe it has all ready been done. Aside from sheet metal decals, the only other major difference is the hydraulic system. Some of the Super's had live hydraulics. That gets a little more involved and difficult, although not impossible. CaseIH has the sleeves, pistons, rings, etc. for the 4 in. bore.
