49 cub loses power stalls and doesn't want to resart when hot. It's not overheating and starts cold fine.I checked mag in 250 oven for 1/2 hour and it still sparks. Compression 60-90-70-100 what's normal compression 110? I'm replacing rings and valves now any other suggestions on this problem? It gets plenty of gas so it's not a vent or anything like that Thanks for any help. Bill Conklin

The normal compression on the Cub is 110. So if you are arround the 60,70,90 range you do have some compression problems, but doubt they are causing the shutdown and hard restart.

If all else fails, I would try putting a coil on it temparily bypassing the mag. How old is the condenser?
