I got the valve set for my 49 cub the other day and it came with guides.I wasn't planning on changing them but now that I've got them.Anyway the book says press them out, no can do the engine is still in the tractor and thats where I'd like it to stay. If I drive them down they'll hit the lifters before they come out.I did try a piece of 5/16 threaded rod and a socket figuring it would work as a puller and they would come out the top. Then I could just tap the new ones in but they're in pretty tight and I don't want break anything.Any suggestions from he experts? Maybe I should just let sleeping dogs lie. I've never broken anything I haven't touched:) So what do you think?

Bill,
That should be www.atis.net
www.atis.com is nowhere near the CUB board. Common mistake, I made it myself before I went back and read real careful.
