Harold (or anyone who might know), I was wondering if you could tell me all the different models that made up the 06, 56, and 66 series Farmall/IH tractors.

thanks

Ben,

Not counting the small tractors, import design tractors, and industrial versions I'll give it a try. I may miss a few.
06's:
606 International only, gas, diesel, or LPG
706 Farmall, Farmall High Clear, and International, gas, diesel, or LPG
806 Farmall, Farmall High Clear, and International, gas, diesel, or LPG
1206 Farmall only, diesel only
4100 International 4 x 4 diesel only
56's:
656 Farmall, Farmall High Clear, International, International High Clear, gas, diesel, or LPG
756 Farmall, Farmall High Clear, International, gas, diesel, or LPG
856 Farmall, Farmall High Clear, International, and International 4 wheel drive in gas, diesel, or LPG
1256 Farmall, Farmall 4 wheel drive, International, and International 4 wheel drive, diesel only
1456 Farmall, Farmall 4 wheel drive, International, and International 4 wheel drive, diesel only
4156 International 4 x 4, diesel only 26's
826 Farmall, Farmall High Clear, Farmall 4 wheel drive, International, and International 4 wheel drive, diesel only
1026 Farmall, Farmall High Clear, International, International 4 wheel drive, diesel only 66's
666 Farmall, Farmall High Clear, gas or diesel
766 Farmall, Farmall High Clear, gas or diesel
966 Farmall, Farmall High Clear, and Farmall 4 wheel drive, diesel only
1066 Farmall, Farmall High Clear, diesel only
1466 Farmall, Farmall 4 wheel drive, diesel only
1566 International only, diesel only
1468 Farmall only, v8 diesel only
1568 International only, v8 diesel only

This should pretty well cover the 06, 56, and 66 series. I threw in the 4100, the 26's and the 68's because they were built along with the other tractors listed. This does not list any of the smaller models and I may have skipped some special model of the above listed. Hope this helps you.

Ben,

In addition to the above answer, there were also industrial tractor versions of some, but not all, of the 06, 56, 66 series tractor models. The industrial models were International with a 2 before the number. For example the industrial version of the 806 was the International 2806. The industrial tractors generally had; a different grill, different front axle, different tire sizes & types, and some different standard or optional features. Industrial yellow was the standard color, however, like all IHC tractors, they could be special ordered in any color the customer wanted for a fee.

Harold: Have you considered writing a book?? The history of all models with some personal observations added in would be a good referance. As time goes on there will be fewer people with the personal background that you seem to have that would be needed to write a good book.. Just one or two pictures of each and every model in itself would take up quite a few pages..and then adding your info would make a very good referance source.. Thanks.. HR

I agree with HR. Harold you should write a book.
I would love to see a book out covering the 06 and 66 series Farmall/Internationals.

Ben and HR,

I appreciate the complement, but I am not the book writing type. I'd rather just help with information any time I can.

Sincerely,
Harold H
