I just bought a super MTA wf,ps,live hyd. with a factory cab on it. It was told to me that it came from the dealer that way. IS this a good find, did it add value to the tractor.
Or did I get taken by the cab story.

Thank for any help!!

Yes you did get taken on the cab issue that cab looks like it may have come off one of the 06 series tractors, but yes wide front was an option.

Bill-As I understand Farmall never made a cab for that tractor. However the WF was an option on the super m's.Infact the WF was given 6 more adjustment notches and each side was independent.Live hydraulics were also offered and this attachment used a pump running off the ignition drive flange. The PS I am not familiar with. Also "IPTO" was offered,to determine if your tractor has this, look for a long handle to the right-rear of the operators seat mounted to the rear of the transmission housing.SMTA serial #'s run from 60001 through 83523 with prefix"SM-TA" Hope this helps.

They did not come with a cab nor with power steering. I am also 99% sure that they did not come with a wide front either.

The Super-MTA did come with live hydraulics, the wide front was an option, most came with live PTO, the power steering was a field or dealer installed option. I've never heard of a factory cab on one. It may be something the dealer installed on it.

It may have come from a dealer that way, but not from the factory.

I id not know how to add the picture here to the reply so i added it to the gallery on the left
under the Tractor Photos. I used the heading
1954 Super MTA with factory cab.
Hope you can find it.
