Some parts you can get at a Case/IH dealer. Some engine parts are no longer available and are difficult to find. If you take the engine down, don't discard any of the main bearing inserts. You may have to find someone to rework them for you. I think the center one is especially difficult to find.

I tried to get parts for my carb and found IH did not have. When I got into it, I was able to clean up and fix up so it works. The float is cork and don't know what you do if that is bad.

Guy's, this may not be the place to advertise, but I have a Super M D that I'm going to sell. It runs, just not very good. It doesn't have much power. It won't hardly pull itself up a hill. Maybe one of you may know what is wrong. I hope it is nothing serious. I am no mechanic. I was thinking about 1500.00 for it. It is all complete. Good sheetmetal. If you know of anyone interested in it please let me know. I haven't advertised it anywhere yet. Thanks Mark

CaseIH can still get some parts for them. I ordered a needle valve and float for my 450D from my local dealer. The needle valve was about $60 and the float about $20. It depends on the dealer I think, some are willing to actually search for the part, some arent'.

I think the float in the 450D is different than in the MD. I know the dealer told me he searched and searched for a float for and MD carb for another person. Finally found a used one. The dealer I use sells few tractors anymore, and exists mostly on parts and service, thus he usually hunts up parts if they can be had.
