I was operating my tractor tonight and it just died. I have a new battery, have power to starter, and to voltage regulator but, no power what so ever. No lights, no dash displays, and fuse is good. Could it be posible that the regulator is going bad?

If you have a 706 gas, then your problem is a bad condensor. You say it has power until you let off the starter button, then you have a bad condensor.

Sounds like a problem in the wire harness, and you lost power to the ignition switch. Check all plug in connectors some might be corroded, or a wire may have come unplugged.

The power came back but when I push the starter button I lose power again until I let off the starter button. I did find some loose connection in the harness also, but i still think it is in the switch somewhere.

have had the same problem with my 504 in the past----tore apart and re-plugged every wire in the harness---turned out it was a dirty connection to the battery on the positive cable--not the connection to the post but where the cable clamps to the connector.
