I'm thinking about biding on an "M" Sat. at a local auction. The block has a hole in it big enough to run a large cat thru it looks like a rod busted and came out the side of the block. Any body know where I can get a short block used or rebuilt and about what one might cost
Thanks a bunch
Bill

Just checking since he supposedly blew a hole in the block of his M. Didn't believe his story for a second, but it was humorous at least.

The number 2 rod let go. We have an M at the shop at school that is getting another block rebuilt and installed. It was souped up some for the tractor pull and the guys boy decided to drive it accross the field full throttle. The rod let go, and there was a hole about 7" accross in the side of the block. When we took off the pan, everything under the hole(about 4" of metal) came out with it. The great thing is, THEY DROVE IT OFF THE TRAILER and it still purred like a kitty. GO FARMALL.
