The cultivators on my SC ease down about 4 inches and then jerk up when I have them lifted. This cycles about every 7 seconds. Cultivators leak down 30 seconds after I kill the engine. What do you think my problem is? I'm not much of a mechanic but I try. I've learned a lot just by reading what you guys post about various problems. Thanks for any suggestions.

It's one of two things or both. Try bleeding the hydraulic unit first to get all the air out of it, according to ops manual, and refill to the proper level. If it leaks down, it's a good indication that the unit could use a rebuild, especially the head gasket replaced.
