Just put sealed bid in on a 1974 International 140
tractor. Tractor is almost flawless, runs super,
but doesn't have quick hitch. It has complete cultivators and factory grader(belly) blade. What
is this tractor worth$$$? I only bid $2400.00, but may go up my bid; not due to 3/16 @ 12:00AM

Don't know where you are, but here in East Tenn, that tractor would go for $4000 or more. I sold my 1976 model a few years back for $4000. It had a Woods mower and the factory blade that can be mounted under the belly or out front. Always had mine on the front. Also had a 3 pt hitch. If you really want it, better increase your bid.

Depends on where you are. My dad sold his, he was the third owner, last summer for $2500 here in Ky. It ran well but needed paint and had no blade. Maybe we should have sent it to NE Texas ;-) I would think it would take more than what you bid to get it. Good luck.

I agree with Dan, I saw a Farmall 100 with all the equipment bring 2700 a couple of years ago, around here that 140 would probably bring an easy 4500, lots of one row farmers still left.

If you want this tractor very badly, you may have to go about double on your present bid. I base this on your description only. I would be very surprised if you got it at your present price. Dan Robertson

Johnny and Dan are right. Perhaps others bidders will see the value about the same as they do and outbid you by a few dollars. The 1974 is one of the later ones and has 12 volt system, perhaps even the alternator. Here in NC, one is advertised for $6000.00. Unlikely to find a buyer at that price. Beat up examples would go for considerably less. My guess is that the tractor will be sold for about $5300.00. Please let us know the results so that we learn too.
