Farmall Cub Clutch Pedal play issue

Greetings...

Strange thing happened recently-clutch pedal on a '64 Cub doesn't usually return to "normal" position (down an inch or two), especially when it's cold out. Bring 'er back up with your toe and it drops back down again. Tractor is in gear and fine (although the short throw of the clutch feels odd). Spring? Other ideas before I start poking around? (we just got another 5" of snow up here...I'd like to minimize my freezing time...).

Thank you in advance,
Adam

Check the return spring. Could be old or shot. Also get under there with a can of oil and hit her good.
