First of all I just found this site a couple of weeks ago now I read it at least twice a day LOVE IT I Just bought a B last week for 50 bucks. The first B I operated was in 1946 hired out to neighbors to drive brand new farmall B and drag john deere wagon while they pulled corn and throwed it in wagon Dad had Oliver 80 on iron so when you pull up to gate release clutch tractor stops WELL first time I pulled up to new cant't sag gate pushed in clutch new Farmall B ran right on through new gate worked all week to pay for gate I live in central Texas and have a little tractor shop kind of a hobby now I'm getting the RED FEVER. This week I found a good running H for around 500 maybe less if I can get it pulled off . This a great site guys keep up the good work

Bill, as Farmer Bob says, it sounds like you've got a good case of "farmallitis". This disease is similar to "allisitis", "caseitis", "jditis", etc. Be carefull with it, as it can lead to a similar, but much more serious disease called "old tractor fever"! I speak from experience-had "farmallitis" before I caught "old tractor fever". I believe these diseases are contagious, as my #1 son & grandson have "farmallits" that I think they caught from me. Good luck & have fun w/em. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)

Bill, it could be that you have contracted the disease called, "Farmallitis" of which there is no known cure. It isn't a bad disease and is not fussy about who it infects. One known side effect is that the red tractors seem to multiply when the owner has the infection. There are many other more suttle side effects like owning "Red shoes" after the first repaint, taking a vacation through the countryside to look for old red iron in the fence rows, etc. Just smile and keep thinking red tractor thoughts. You're in good company.//FB

Some symptoms are - sore neck from looking in every fence row, tree line, and behind every barn for tractors as you drive down the road.

Also, light wallet from buying parts.

Some even get eye strain from spending too much time on here!

The only known therapy is buying more tractors, though temporary relief can be found at tractor shows, pulls, and swap meets. Have fun! Fireman
