I'm looking to buy a pull type hog for my SC. What size should I look for? I don't want to overload and have to mow in 1st and full throttle. That's what a man said I would be doing with a 6'. I don't have a clue. Thanks for your help.

I would purchas a over running clutch first thing and then A four footer if you are going to use it for heavy clearin,(small shrubs and such) if it will be just grass you could pull a five footer, but you will be working it most of the time and in lower gears.

5 ft is the most you want, and be sure to get an over running clutch for the PTO.

Ditto to wha you and Haas said: I run a 5 footer on my hills and it's strictly for keeping the fields open. I do it every year. But when the grass is heavy, it's first gear work. ORC is mandatory.

I have a 6 foot land pride finnish mower on a fast hitch to three point adapter. It is the heavy mower too not their light duty one. it cuts real good in second gear and doesnt push too bad when I push the clutch. my dad keeps saying I'm gonna put myself up a tree without an overrunner. just make sure your engine is tuned well and front weights help some. my engine is mildly souped up with firecraters and some custom work on the head but its only 8 or 10 horse more than stock.

I use a 5' with my C. I would not want anything any bigger. The Super C would do a little better with it due to the slightly larger engine.

I have a 5 footer on my B (Same engine) and works fine. I run 2nd gear most of the time.
