Still working to find the right crank for this Super A ( Serial # 277186, year 1949, Model FAA ). I found a number on the old crank, it is 6402DC. This leads me to the next question. How many different cranks are there out there for A's ? Should I be looking for a crank with this exact number ? Are there any others that will do ?

As always, Thanks in Advance.

Gene, My crank appears to be cracked on the main bearing journal at the pulley end of the cranksaft. Second, the crank had already been ground to .020" already. I have found what I beleieve is a crank that has never been ground, at what I thought was a fair price. I called around a couple of local dealers, they all asked me for the number on the crank, when I asked if there were different cranks they said yes. And this is why I posted the original question because i would hate to receive a crank that wasn't the right one...

Tnanks for the responses.

Any crank from an A, Super A, B, or C will work as long as the motor is 113 cu in. That number you found is just a casting number.
