You guys that I chatted with about the B I bought have really ruined me. On the way to town this morning I stopped at a friends house tha had an H and before I left I was the proud owner of a Farmall H with single front wheel runs great and still ha decal on it tires are shot. I haven't looked at the serial # yet will do that tonight. Couldn't pass up for 400. My wife says I'm not worth killing since I got the fever. Great site nice people. Enjoy visiting with you all.

Even though I've already bought one new old tractor this year, my eyes "discovered" an abandoned '52 Super C the other day. Left my card on it just in case the owner comes back and decides he don't want to mess with it anymore.

Bill, You go! Keep that fever, for you will find
more bargans as you go down the road.
I enjoyed visiting with you the other day, Haven't seen anything that would help you with your projects. Glad to hear you got that H.
Good luck
John A.

For sure: woke up at 2:00 this morning to answer other calls, and body, mind, and spirit, I couldn't wait to get out to the barn -- took the touch-control reservoir off to clean and prep for paint. No known cure,... but plenty of good remedies! RedTed/MO.

Just looked at serial # says SH model 768 J. The way I read it its a super H made in 53. Is that right?

I just looked at the serial No. page and I get '53 as well. It looks like you have an early one. Around the 268th made. I think the J means it has a Rockford clutch? Good luck. SAm in NS

Bill you have been diagnosed with Farmallitis. There is no known cure. All you can do to relieve the suffering is buy another Farmall about every 6 months! :)

$400 for a running H with bad tires would be a fairly decent price in central Indiana.

Yep-both you & ff316 gotta BAD case of RED FEVER-careful or it'll soon be a full blown case of OTF (Old Tractor Fever) & you won't care what color they are! For $400, I don't think any of us withna the disease woulda passed up a decent runnin H, even w/poor rubber. Happy tractoring! (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)

I've been at OTF stage for a while now. It actually started from missing our 430 JD we used to have, then I got a Case, then adopted my H. Hate to say, but a green or orange one is next on the list! Fireman

BTW - I read several of the forums here, have to say this is the best by far. Plenty good advice and very little bickering. Thanks everyone who contributes!

I have to warn you that it spreads rapidly this time of year, when it starts warming up and the field begs to be mowed. I spied an H or M with a wide front end while driving around the mountains this morning and have thought of little else today.
