I am looking at the gauge on my "A" and can't seem to see a "flat" to put the wrench on. Having worked with gauges before, I know that trying to remove a gauge by "wrenching" on the case can destroy it. I believe the gauge is the original.

Thanks.
Brian.

Brian; Just took mine off yesterday and from what I can tell it has been there since 1941.... I came off real easy by using ajustable pliers with a small rag on the jaws. Just grab the face and turn slow. With all the oil around it, it comes off rather easy. My new one does not have flats either so it will go on the same way. Good luck Keith

The oil pressure gauge on my "C" didn't have a square boss for a wrench. I just used a small strap wrench and it came off pretty easy. I'll use teflon tape when I put it back on and not put a whole lot of torque on it.

There should be a square boss between the threads and the back of the gauge housing.
