I'm in the process of getting a 330 up and running
after sitting for 5 or 6 years. Just discovered
that two push rods are bent. How difficult is it
to replace these? What would cause these to bend
in the first place? Thanks in advance for any help.

When I was a teen on my Dad's farm, we had a 300 Farmall with the same problem. During spring with freeze/thaw cycles water ran into the engine through a small rust hole in the muffler. The valves must have had ice around them when I tried to start it and the pushrods bent on those two cylinders. the engine started on two cylinders. My Dad pulled the push rods and straightened them by tapping them with a hammer. Reset the valves and it ran just fine. Evidently there wasn't enough water or ice to bend the rods, bend the valves or break the pistons, because it had good compression and power. Brother has the 300 now and to my knowledge those pushrods are still in working just fine over 37 years later! IH built one tough engine.

If the pushrods or valves were stuck due to sitting 5-6 years, then they would bend when the engine was turned over. Good luck with your 330, it's suppost to be a very rare and collectable tractor.
