Hey Red, I found a water pump at the bone yard that will work rather than pressing the pulley off of the old pump. After inspecting the pump and pulley assembly, I may have been able to get by with the old one by removing the bailing wire (to keep the pulley tight) and simply installing a new set screw. I don't know for sure if that is all I need to do because I cannot inspect the tractor from my place in town. Well, I can always use another water pump some day. The temp gauge I found at the bone yard doesn't work.. registers in the high cold area in boiling water. Guess it's back to CaseIH.

Bill the adjustable pulley originally was held with a bolt and a locking nut. There are 4 indentations 90 degrees apart where you would tighten down the bolt once you got most of the play out of the belt. It may well be that the threads are shot on the adjustable pulley. Hard telling until you get out there and see it.
