The weather has turned off cool and wet for this weekend here in the eastern part of the SUNFLOWER STATE. I have a "C" that I am working on but it is outside behind the shop (shop is full of the working equipment), need to put in rings and open up the trans, something isn't quite right in there. It wouldn't be a good idea to open up either end in this weather. If I didn't already have the wheels off and up on stands I could roll it in and out of the shop.

Checked all of the Sale listings and didn't seen anything with in 100 miles that sounded like it would be worth the time to go even without anything else to do. Bah - Humbug

Guess I will just stay in the house and do some baking, might darn a few socks, been needing to go through my closet and get everything sorted by color and fabric. Might watch a few decorating shows on the tube. Does anybody else have any sugestions on what to do with a weekend like this????? ????

This is the perfect weather for Sears Craftsman section and Home Depot, Lowes and Clark Tools. Know what I am going to do. Anytime left over will be in my shop straightening up a little.

Come to the LeSueur County Pioneer Power Swap Meet in southern MN; rain or shine. I was there all day Friday. Over 1000 vendors, lotsa good red stuff.

I thought I was going to spend the weekend in the tractor farming, or at least building some new fence if it was too wet to seed. Did about 50 acres of anhydrous this afternoon and it started snowing about an hour ago! Enough snow already! Geez it's almost May!

I know what you mean about the snow. It was coming down here yesterday and it even started to cover the roads but it turned to rain around noon. I will be glad when the snow's over for this winter. SAm in NS.

How far East in Ks are you??? I'm west of Emporia, and have 2 Cs....and a 42M. Ditto on the weather, I had some calves worked today, and I really debated on doing it today....tomorrow sounds worse, but we went ahead and worked them, I just hope it isn't too hard on them. The wind blew the top (lid) off one of my grain bins and I'm heading out to have my wife lift me up on the loader and put it back on, tomorrow is supposed to be really windy.....big time....But....all things considered....I'm just so happy spring is here, and the grass is growing like crazy, and the trees are leafing out, and I've got my junk to play with...what more could a guy want????? We've had about a 1/2 an inch of rain so far, and we really need it, the ponds around here are about 80% dry...we had virtually no moisture all winter (sure made feeding cattle nice this winter), so this rain is a god send....even if we have to have some stormy weather with it....

Lone Star is the location, 7 miles SW of Lawrence. I have an intensive grazing program and had to pull the calves back in the lot today what with last weeks 3" of rain and the forcast of another inch + tonight. When you run 60 head of 6 weight steers on 6 acre padocks they can tromp it out real quick when it gets this wet. Next week the native grass will be going good enough that I can pull 15 or so head, and put them out in a full season pasture, and be at the normal number of 45 head for this 36 acre, 6 padock system.

Go fishing!!! Even if the weather is bad, there are not many things better than drowning a few worms... Or watch your decorating shows and bake...
