I have a farmall h with a magneto, and on my push button kill switch the connector on the back of the switch broke off where the wire from the mag connects. Do you think I could solder the connector back on, or do I need to find a replacement? If so where could I find a replacement? Any help would be appreciated!

On mag setup all it has to do is stop the engine by grounding or shorting out the magneto, this is needed for very short time until the engine stops, you can take a dist off-on and do the same thing, it doesnt have to be a mag switch, a piece of wire would do the same, just grab it and touch the metal chassis of the tractor, switch to do this is a little more fancy.

New old stock switches are expensive. there are some aftermarket repacements out there but they ain't cheep either. I'd try soldering the terminal back on, if it don't work you ain't out much. otherwise check with your friends for a good used switch. I have seen a regular push-pull switch used; just ground one terminal; but the the switch will work bacwards, that is out for stop.
