The weather cleared off late yesterday afternoon. Went after the rear end/trany on the "C" today. Good news and some almost Bad news. Good news is that everything looked good and there was NOT any metal floating loose in there. Got her all cleaned up and refilled with 90W including the PTO. As for the almost BAD news. When I drained it out came almost 4 gallons of WATER and only 2 gal of 90W. I bought her in December not running but not stuck. She sat here for three months waiting for the weather to warm up. If I had known that water was in there I would not have been able to sleep nights. Just never gave it a thought. Got LUCKY this time.

Did you use any cleaners ? I thought I read somewhere on hear using disel fuel to clean, then adding oil.

I had the top off so was able to really get at everything. Used solvent with air to clean everything out. Then flushed it with diesel and air. Filled with 90W with the top off so I could pour it everywhere. Used an air gun that siphons liquid, really works good for this type of cleaning.
