Some of those Hs and Ms and Supers had some weird and wonderful hydraulic plumbing. I would bet there were variations in the 100ths, and all of them worked. I remember my dads first H with a loader. He said the day it was delivered, "We will not dare go near tree limbs on headlands when loader is off". Seemed like the guys hooking these up were trying to keep pipe and fitting industry healthy.

Bill - Post back whether your SH has belly pump or live hydraulics. I have a pair of '53 Super H's - one is set up each way. I will take/post digital photos of either (or both...) hydraulic setups if you wish. ...Bob M

It must be a belly pump and has plumbing coming out of the top of that part in front of bell housing which I guess is the resivoir. Is that right? thanks a bunch. Bill

Bill - That would be a Stage 1 non-live hydraulic setup, also known as countershaft-drive Liftall or "belly pump". I'll email several photos of mine from home this evening. ...Bob M

Do you have the live hydralics? I assume so. Our Super MTA looks like a plumber's nightmare also, but that is the way it came from the factory. Just a couple of hoses running along the frame and block that go to the control valve and reservoir. Link has a pic that shows the hoses on our SMTA.
