I just bought a set of decals and can't figure out where some of the decals go. I got a little decal that just says open and i don't know where it goes also the one that says about the pressurized cooling system.Does anyone have any ideas?

I put a set of decals on a 42 H yesterday I used Guy Fays book Letter Series as a guide.Although the exact guide seems to be missing,I referred to the super H.I think I got them pretty close to right.close enough for me any way.If you can get a copy of this book it will answer a lot of questions.ED

I think you may have the wrong decals, but I may be wrong. A 1942 H should have the decals that say McCormick-Deering with Farmall under that. NOT the decals with the IH on them.

The pressurized cooling system was not used on the H until after serial number 107,xxx If you have a serial number after 107,000 you would put that one near the radiator cap I believe.

The decal that says open goes by the shutter crank if you have shutters.

I see lots of decal sets with extra decals. If any are in doubt just leave them off.
