I have a friend that needs a new distributor ( or good used ) for an H farmall tractor. Does anyone have one they would sell cheap? He needs the H to rake his hay and the season is upon us. Thanks,
Andy

I had a magneto problem with my H and I had a old M here with a distributor. I took the distributor and mount off the M and it fit the H perfectly. Well then I bought a SC case and it had a good mag but a bad engine so I put the Case Mag on the H and now the Distributor from the M is on another all together different tractor,, It seems they are pretty much interchangable....Jim

I've got one, what do you need, just the distributor or the drive housing too? E-mail me
for a good price.

I just put a new one in my H and it was $280 not cheap but a used one was $250. I bought mine from a place called aldermans in the Flint Mi. area. (the city of Lennon)

I had trouble w/my dist. a year ago. Looked @ putting a new one in (+/-$300 @ C-IH) so I decided to have mine re-built. It was about $175 @ my C-IH dealer. Works great!. (BTW, an upright delco off an AC will work on an H.) I'd suggest getting the old one reconditioned. Any good shop should be able to do it. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
