Hello,

I found a '56 Farmall 100 with snow plow, Kub-Klipper, and 12 volts. Seems in good shape. Any info about this model? I'm only familiar with the Cub. Thanks.

Baz

I quite agree with what others said, except they didn't answer your basic question. These tractors are substancially more tractor than the Cub. They have sleeved engines, a 540 pto., dual hydraulic valves, etc. They will do a way more work than they were ever rated for. You will find 100 to be larger and heavier than Cub, not quite as agile as Cub. I will further state that having owned one Cub and 4 of the others, Cub is out of question.

Thanks, I thought it looked like much more than the Cub with it's 2x hydralics and hitch in back.

But that's not a regular 3 pt hitch the mower hangs on, is it? Will a blade or rake be hard to find? I'd really like to maintain my dirt driveway.

Probably the more important question is a loader. I heard for a Cub they're rare and $$. And mounting looks like more than "15 minutes". Snow plow and mower would both have to go, no?

Thanks, Baz

I also have a '56 Farmall 100. Horsepower ratings are 19 on the drawbar and 22 on the PTO/belt. Like Phil said, it's basically identical to the Super A, except that the engine is ten cubic inches bigger. The 12v is a conversion; it originally had a 6v system.

Baz,
The Farmall 100 was the new model designation for the Super A1 that followed the Super A. It's basically the Super A with a couple more horsepower on the drawbar and slightly changed sheetmetal. The biggest difference is the use of metal emblems or badges instead of decals. If your tractor has all of these intact, you have had some good fortune as replacements are expensive!

Phil
